Sicily/Sardinia:

To support the economic, scientific and cultural development of the country, the Italian tax authorities provide numerous tax benefits both in favour of people who transfer their residence to Italy to carry out a work activity but also regardless of the performance of a specific work activity. 

In the latter case, we would like to remind you that, as an alternative to the ordinary regulations, a preferential taxation of income produced abroad is provided, which consists in paying a substitute tax of personal income tax, established at a flat rate, for each tax period. In addition, this tax regime can be extended to family members. 

We would also like to remind you that in Italy, and on its islands, various and important tax concessions are provided in the ambit of residential and commercial construction (e.g.: “Superbonus 110%”, “Façade bonus”, etc.).

Balearic Islands:

The development of tourism has transformed the Balearic Islands into the richest Autonomous Community of Spain, with an average per capita income above the European average.
